Moving and health issues derailed my online work during April and May, but I've recently gotten back into Mechanical Turk. I've done some work on Opinion Outpost, but more and more of their rewards are drawing entries instead of points. I'm trying out a couple new websites: Earnably, and Clickworker.

Demographic-Targeted Research Surveys

I've been busy working and moving, so I haven't had many earnings to report. In the mean time, I've been checking out demographic-related Mechanical Turk surveys. You can often have good luck finding research surveys relevant to your experiences by searching HITs for your gender, race/ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, and so on. Also, if you have niche interests (gaming, working out, fandom), you can sometimes find targeted research for those groups as well.

Here are a couple LGBT-related research surveys I found today:

1) Transgender/Genderqueer Survey (Adfly link) -- $0.50 for about 15 minutes of work. Give your thoughts on a brief therapy session. Make sure to read the debriefing after you complete the survey!

2) LGBT Life Experience Survey (Adfly link) -- $1.00 for about 10 minutes of work. Answer some questions about discrimination experiences.

You need to be 18+ and at least one of the surveys requires you to be from the U.S.
